Judas Priest, At The Gates, Cannibal Corpse, Cradle of Filth, Annihilator, Falconer, Death Angel, Savatage, In Flames, ROb Zombie, Sepultura, UDO… These are just a handful of bands that will grace the stage at the 26th edition of Wacken Open Air – the biggest heavy metal festival in the world. 102 bands have already been confirmed with more to be added as the days draws closer.
The festival, which begins on 29th July with the Wacken Metal Battle and ends on 1st August 2015 is a testimony to the strength and passion metalheads have towards the music. Apart from live music, there are also fire shows, wrestling events, the Full Metal Market and the beergarden, all of which provide alternatives from the constant stream of heavy metal, spread across 6 stages in the sprawling village of Wacken, about 75km from Hamburg.
While the tickets are officially sold out, an avid fan can always trawl the offical Wacken FB page for fans who can’t make the event and are forced to sell their tickets. More details about the festival on the official website.
