Gruesome Malady

Status: Defunct

Origin: Bangalore

Genre: Grindcore

Gruesome Malady claims to be “the most bowel-churning, bile spewing, indescribably sickening horror/gore-grind project ever to raise its hideously deformed head in the country of India.” Formed in 1999 by Vikram Bhat (drums, vocals) and Jimmy Palkhivala (guitar, bass, vocals) from former band Dying Embrace, the band’s music became a medium to vent.

Gruesome Malady came into being for the sole purpose of “satiating their most sickening, morbid desires”.

Their debut CD ‘Infected With Virulent Seed’ was released in 2003. A split CD with MORTUARY HACKING SESSION followed in 2004. A split CD with Polish gore band PATOLOGICUM was released in late 2005. The band is currently working on new material for the upcoming ‘Real Men Watch Porn!’

Gruesome Malady is influenced by Impetigo, Lymphatic Phlegm, Mortician, Warsore, Mortuary Hacking Session and other such bands.
