Demonic Resurrection

Origin: Mumbai

Genre: Black metal

Right from the band’s inception in early 2000, Demonic Resurrection has built its own devoted fan following. The debut album was released just 9 months after forming. Though the album did have the amateur touch to it, it still was the first for an Indian Metal band to independently release a CD. This same album was re-recorded and released in 2001 with the Demonstealer on vocals/guitars, Nikita on vocals/keys, Aditya aka Count Varathora on Bass and Yash on Drums.

In 2003, this line up was dissolved and re-formed. In 2005, Demonic Resurrection released their highly acclaimed album ‘A Darkness Descends’ on Demonstealer Records. In April 2007 they recorded their EP ‘Beyond The Darkness’ with Demonstealer taking over the drum duties in the studio as well. Their next release is on its way.

The band quotes its influences as Dimmu Borgir, Old Mans Child, Blind Guardian, Children Of Bodom, Hate Eternal, Marduk, Dark Funernal, Cannibal Corpse, Cryptopsy, Death, Nightwish, Lacuna Coil, Susperia, Kamelot, Behemoth, Emperor and many others.
